His N' Hers Marks

Man, I love that car! I almost wish it was mine:)

My wife loves it too. I just cleaned the carpet and conditioned the leather. Also washed it. And installed some LED's in the interior. The '97 LSC is so much nicer than my '96 base. But it's not as fast?? More power, less speed. Wierd. But I still love it.

Yeah. She's driving it today. I'm back to driving my old '96. We've been taking turns driving the '97 since Thrusday and one thing I've notinced is that the '97 LSC just doesn't seem to be as fast as my '96 base. I just don't feel the rush of power from the '97 LSC that I get from the '96. I've heard from people here before that the GEN2's aren't as fast as the GEN1's but I didn't think it was true. But hey, now I have one of each and my '96 is definitely faster than my '97. But I love them both.

Here are a few more pics of our cars. We just cleaned the '97 up yesterday. It looks soooo much better clean.:)

Yes I do! I actually used to be more partial to the Gen1's. I liked the front end style better. But now, the more I look at and drive that '97, the more I like it. Yesterday, I turned the traction control off on the LSC and did a massive, smokey burnout. It was unbelievable! My '96 hasn't done one like that in quite some time. I'll bet I burned 1/4" of rubber off the rear tires! And I did NOT power brake it. I just took off with the pedal to the floor. Awesome!

I was the same way, til I got the 98.. I wasn't even excited about getting the 98.. but the car sure does grow on you, once you get into the seat.

nice interior materials, alot less "plastic" and alot less of that rubberized BS paint.

My favorite is the tuning aspect.
Tuning a first gen is like talking in sign language to a blind person.

The Second gen will actually communicate with you, and give you valuable data that helps get the car properly tuned.

I'm just glad I finally got another one. Now I've got the best of both worlds. If my wife will ever let me drive her's that is. Honestly, I'd have a yard full of these cars if I could afford it. I absolutely looooove the Mark VIII!!!!
