I bought mine over 3 years ago, and never any problems-then I don't think they sold the wiring kit, but they did tell me to buy a negative battery cable and run it from the back of the alternator to the battery positive post. When I bought mine it was listed on ebay for $199 plus $12 shipping. Good company.

alterstart has a 250 for 270 with shipping . has anyone done any business with this company? they are out of dallas texas. i dont think 200 amp alt is going to be big enough for my stereo and all the electronics i will have in the car.

Don’t bother with a 200+, There is no rectifier that will handle it except an external one. A 160 amp is about the best for long life. Check out quick start.

I'm getting one of these for the 95 in a 160 or 200 amp. The 120 just isn't cutting it. I'll put the 120 in the trunk, just in case. It's only 2 days old because the prior one lasted 3 months lol. I haven't even added the system yet. AZ alternators suck. O'Reilly's uses real Motorcraft casings but they're rebuilt by Ultima. With a system in the car, the Ultima lasted longer than the AZ alternator did without a system. Just one WOT with an AZ alternator and it can go bad on you. It can't handle the high rpm nor the electrical stress from a Mark VIII.

if you are going for car audio you cant go wrong with a iraggi. they cost more but you get what you pay for.

always charge the battery to full charge BEFORE replaceing the alternator to keep from frying the dioids in the charging circuit also increase the ground wire size and make sure you clean the connections and use dielectric compound to cover them after they are TIGHT.

i dont think i can get the ground or power wire any bigger as i upgraded to the big three with 0 awg gauge.
an external rectifier? never heard of that . so anything bigger then 200 isnt doing its job?

i was running 2 1000 watt rms kicker amps powering 4 12' fosgate power hx2's and a 400a4 fosgate for the interiours in my old caprice and it was fine.(2400rms total)...maybe allittle dimming but never had any problems...and i think the caprice's alt is 105.....i dont see the point of upgradeing imho..

i havnt been on caraudio.com lately but the last time i was iraggi alt's are crap...there was a HUGE thread about how they dont put out what they say and there customer service is horrible.
