I've got everything connected the way they're suppose to be, and I'm getting check exterior lamp message. I figured that the original ballast were damaged, so I replaced them with another pair of ballast I had laying around. Still they are not coming on. Next I swapped out the bulbs with some of my spares I know works, and I am still not getting them to light up. Am I missing something? Is there a fuse for the headlights?

i have the same problem except only one is coming on. ill definatly be watching this thread

Get out the meter and see if your getting power to the ballasts. Then you know what way to start looking.

My problem is the two female connectors that the ballast plugs into. I am not getting any power from them. As I try to trace it, it disappears into the main wire harness. I am at a loss.

Edit: How does one go about checking grounds? There are grounds screwed all over the front...

when i checked my grounds i put my meter on the circuit tester function and stuck one probe in the ground side of the female plug and the other on the negative side of the battery. you should get a good strong reading obviously if it is a good ground. the next thing i might check is the headlight switch, and if not that maybe the abient light sensor. Worst case is the SCIL. just thinkin out loud

Try flipping the plug at the ballast over and plugging it back in

I got my driver's side light to come on. There are two plugs that the ballast plugs into. It seems that the plug on the passenger side is not working. When I switch the ballast plugs to then the light that is working stops working. Can both light be tapped off of one side?

I thought all of my bulbs were bad. Well it seems that they are not bad. Just the connector on the passenger side that the ballast plugs into.

Two different circuits from the SCIL, I wouldn't try it.

Were could the problem be I wonder? I cut off the connector and put another connector on thinking the problem was with the connector itself. Still no light up. The wires going into the harness look intact. Since the SCIL runs the ballasts, I am wondering, since there are four plugs going in to the SCIL. Are two of the plugs for the left side and right side of the lights?

Maybe something happened to the scil when you were swapping interiors? I have no idea what's wrong with mine either..

Just an idea but you might want to try going with a conversion, with a relay kit. If it works out, you'll triple your money back on the stock bulbs you have left and most likely will end up with a better light output anyway.

Well, this freaking sux. I've tried everything I can think of. I've put new connectors, spliced directly in, but I just cannot get the passenger side to light up. Quite frankly I just tired of taking things apart. I just want the lights to come on. I am leaning towards just doing the aftermarket HID's. However if I do, will I have the same problem?

You can trip the relay with the power wire of the working circuit (DG/O).

I wonder if the crash took out the pass side circuit either in the SCIL or before it? Do you have voltage at the SCIL for the pass side circuit?

No I dont have a way to check for voltage, quite frankly after putting the dash back together, I am tired of being on my back. It is quite possible that the crash did something to the SCIL. If this is the case, then I am definitely going to do aftermarket HID's now. All my bulbs will be for sale soon.

if the scil was bad wouldnt it still not work even with aftermarket hids?
