The passenger side HID on my 98 is a different color than the left side, it's well...pink, so I figure the bulb or the ballast is about to die, I'm going to replace them and I am looking at a kit from these guys, has any one used them?

Thanks

Yep ddmtuning and DLF rings here no problems even my automatic lights still work with no issues.

I can sell you a kit, 100% plug and play for $110 shipped. It was meant to be installed on my 98, and I decided I don't drive the car enough to warrant changing out the factory stuff that works perfectly fine. I've put less than 1000 miles on it in the last year...

Anyway, it's a 55W DDM tuning kit with 5000k bulbs. I had the exact same kit in my daily driver 97 for over 3 years and it worked beautifully. I recently got rid of the 97, bulbs/ballasts still working great. They always fired up the first time, and never once gave a lamp warning.

This kit I have for sale is 100% brand new. I mentioned that it is plug-and-play, and it truly is. I've gone through the trouble of soldering (and heat-shrinking it too) OEM ballast pig-tails to the DDM harnesses. All you do is unplug your stock ballasts and plug this kit in. I also have a set of hand-machined, aluminum adapters that'll come with them. The only way I could make this kit any easier for you would be to fly to Tucson and install it myself...

Hey guys I saw that people recommend the ddmtuning or vvme kits, I went on ebay and saw vvme for $52 shipped and ddm on their site for like $55 shipped to my zip code, is this about right for the prices everyone else paid it seems to be a bit low to me for a highly recommended kit.

hell i think mine were $35 dont know the expensive part is the adapter rings

So what your saying is we need to get you back into a machine shop again.

Well yeah, there's nothing I'd like better than to to have machine shop access again, but I couldn't make those to sell. I'd be stepping on Doug's toes if I did. I only sold those because i no longer needed them, and there was a forum member that needed a set.

There are plenty of other items I would be selling though. Shock mounts and crossover caps would be a certainty, along with other things I've thought up along the way. Shock mounts and crossover caps will be back, it's just much harder to source them out and keep them a reasonable price...

DDM tuning sells crap. Maybe once they were good, but I will NEVER deal with them again. Mis-matched color temp HIDS (they claim they are color-matched in pairs). Then they wanted to send me just one new lamp to replace the pink one. Until I pointed out on the site they come in color-matched pairs. (ever lamp is a little off and not exact temp). About a month later, I got my replacement set of lamps.

What I did get is the exact same cheap eBay units. And that is what I will buy from now on!!!
