I posted this on a truck forum but nobody there is savvy.....
'10 Silverado 1500 LT....Trying to do a clean install of the HID kit I got from DDM Tuning. H16 replaces the fog lights no problems there, in fact it's a real nice kit.
The problem I have is connecting to the harness socket. The kit leaves two crimped pins that DDM suggest that I file down to fit the PT2309(H16) female socket and use electrical tape to seal it up. I was wondering how others have addressed the problem? A male mate for the PT2390 socket? IF so what did you use? How about an adapter from the PT2390(H16) to H10 as that will plug directly into the ballast?

Rock auto might have the harnesses.. You would need to find one with the H16 and another vehicle with the H10 and splice them together.. If they even have them..

I don't think you follow... Because the original bulb(H10) is the male end I need a plug that will do the same to be able to adapt. I don't like the idea of sticking two crimped pins into the harness socket and taping them, unprofessional IMO. BTW, I did check Rockauto out that is how I got the part # for the harness socket

or you can just cut the haness from the fogs and ballast and buy one from your local auto parts store, they are just wire's with a cennection at the end, nothing special.

I have found that this is a common problem not only with trucks but GM in general as they are becoming standard across lines in their fog lights. Now before anyone wants to howl about how F:q up GM is, they are used in late model Mustangs as well.
My solution is to get a couple 9005/H10 pigtails to replace the ones on the harness now and butt splice them in. H10 will plug into the ballast I'm using.
I can leave enough on the 5202 plug to replace them if I chose down the road.
