What's up everybody ! I bought a 2003 LS V8 pearl tri-coat last year in june ! As we speak , it has 146 000 km which is 90 720 miles . Since i bought it i had to replace the rear suspension (control arms shocks springs and brakes ) all stock 1800$ . This month I purchased so kicks for my baby 20" five spoke gianelle spezia's with nankang NS II 245/30/20 soles 1650$ with lock kit !!! Ima post pics later this evening !!! So last week on my way to the rim shop i start hearing all types of scrapping ang popping noises from my front end!!! What do you know new front ball joints and new front discs and pads 1050 $ . The worst is when they check up on everything else , my rear subframe is rotting away . We have hectic winters out here !!! Im up in Canada , Montreal City (MountReal City) so im probably looking at another 1000-1500$ . And now that that's out of way i finally want to spend some money on some Hp MODS !!! And guys don't get me wrong this is the car I've always wanted so the repairs are necessary I'm not complaining just giving you guys a complete run down of my car .

# 1 - Im lokking at the K&N cold air intake system cant find it anywhere ??? Except at LS Koncepts but I read a thread here once sayin they dont ship you anything ??? If i buy the air intake for a 03-05 Ford T-bird will it fit ??? I'm concerned with the heat shield fitting our type of hood ???

#2 - I want a nice sound to my exhaust system !!! Im looking to install the x-pipe , resonator delete , keep stock mufflers , 3.5 " tips slanted to keep same look !!! Would that work ??? i read here somewhere a guy had a similar set up . Keeping in mind that im preserving the size of the stock piping because I heard on the V8 models our exhaust system is practically at its best with the exception of it being as quiet as a mouse !!!

#3 - SCT SF3 Power Flash Programmer !!! Anybody have it ??? Does it really work , save gas when wanted and burn gas when wanted ???

Finally non Hp MODS

#1 - HID Fog lights and LED under mirror lights

#2 - Lowering the suspension ??? That's the big question !!! Since i have 20" on my whip and our roads are so S**T out here i might as well forget it !!!
Believe me when I say we have bad roads ask anybody who's been here they'll confirm it !!!

#3 - LSE front bumper for the round fog light look and the nicer vent ! Or maybe just cut out the crap that's in the vent on the stock bumper ???

That's pretty much it ANY suggestions , input or comments would be GREATLY appreciated !!!

Thanks to the LVC crew for making this s**t possible !!! Great site probably one of the best out there !!! Just giving you the props you guys deserve !!!

1. The intake will fit perfectly. You can pick them up off Ebay, Amazon, your local parts store. Don't buy from LSKoncepts. Not much of a performance gain, if any, but it really brings the little guy up front to life.

2. I rode in an LS with just Magnaflows swapped in just this past week (only other person I've met with an LS, only other one at school). Not enough volume for me with the windows up. If I were to do exhaust I'd work my way up to what you said until I found the right volume and tone. Start with mufflers. Swap resonators with different ones or x-pipe it. If you want the same look just use the same tips. I'm looking into getting 4" Roush Mustang tips if I ever did mine.

3. Read on here that the biggest advantage to getting the SCT, assuming you get a tune from Torrie too, is the way the trans shifts. Can't say from experience but you'll find a boat load of info on here about it. Again, another thing I'm looking to do.

Probably not asking for advice on your non-hp mods but...

1. Do it, it's awesome, "6000k lows and fogs is sex" Andrizzle.

2. Leave it stock if your roads are that sh!tty.

3. Cutting the stock bumper will be something new that I haven't seen. A few have plasti-dipped it. Put it this way, if you cut it and there's no turning back, you have an excuse to get the '06/LSE bumper.

Those wheels are straight dirty man! Sure they'll look great on it, if they fit without rubbing.

Oh, did I mention welcome to the elite corps of LS owners. Or would that be LLSOC? :shifty:

^^^^Those are the tips I'm getting!!! If Roush stamps his name on them, they must be good!

Welcome to LVC.:)

One word "STICKERS". Each one adds a good 3 to 5 horsepower.

You have listed what are the best options. CAI, exhaust, and a good tune.

I don't know maybe Rollin remembers a very old thread about these ... LOL ... the created quite stir ... LOL ... I even posted a physics formula explaining how they create a vortex in the exhaust and you get 50 more hps .. LOL ... someone bit it hook line and sinker .... I was a bad man .. LOL ...

if hp is what you seek, then you should get a bottle of giggle gas

Will the transmission out of the fastest car in the history of forever bolt up to my 3.9 v8? I need 17 gears.

Pics updated today !!! Hopefully the weather permits !!! Ordering my CAI and my X pipe don't know which way to go with my fogs ??? Any suggestions , pointers , companies and vendors !!! I guess it's probably the name brand stuff that'll last the longest but you never know ! As for the CAI I'm going with the FIPK #57 by K&N !!! Oh almost forgot about my tips !!! I dont want to go too big so 3" or 3.5" is the question !!! Question , do the double walled tips add to rumble ? If not are there any tips , that don't look like they belong on a spaceship , that do ?

In regards to your fogs, you can either go LED or HID. Each have their advantages. The safest and quickest method is LED. HID is more labor intensive, although not much depending on the kit you get, but creates more oncoming glare to other drivers. I originally thought this was no problem as the lights are lower and not pointed up in the eyes of oncoming drivers, but just a day or so ago it was mentioned that the HID, from halogen, put out over three times as much light. The choice is yours.

The name brand you speak of in HID is OEM, It's hard to find an OEM ballast that has failed, and at the price they're asking for them from the dealer they must have invested a lot of time into them. A lot of members run DDM with good results, myself and a couple others broke the mold and went elsewhere with TRS.

Check out Magnaflow, Flowmaster, Borla, etc. for tips but isn't 3" the stock size tip on the LS. When I get around to doing mine I'm looking at getting the Roush 4" tips if they fit correctly. They fill out the cutout so much better. I'm unsure if they actually do much for sound since by the time you get to the tip it's already run through the cats, resonators, and muffler, the tip will probably not be noticeable.

Thanks !!! I think ima go with LED , is it simply a bulb swap or what ? I dont want to have to start fiddling around and s**t ! Lol !!! Anyways im taking some pics now i'll be posting them in 20-30 mins

Are you angry?

"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" everywhere

Welcome

He's just exuberant about his LED's! Yeh, the LED bulbs just swap out. According to Black, the one's from VLEDs have been updated and are probably your best bet. Check out VLED, they have all the bulbs, some on back order, for our car.

245/35/20 Need the extra rubber ive had them for a week and a half and there's already a little nick on the lip ! Trust when i tell you its bad ! Pot holes on the highway ! Lets just say I've been to third world countries with better roads !!! LOL :D

That is the same size I run. They just looked small in the one full side pic.
