help with fuel filter removal

Do you have to remove the right front wheel and is it behind that aft shield?

Don't think the tool is required. I easily pulled mine off and slapped the new one on.

If it just pulled off then the spring retainer is either missing or no good (stretched), you have the wrong filter or it's installed wrong. If it pops off while your driving you'll have high pressure fuel spraying everywhere!

you have to be ruff with it. while pushing up with the tool into the clips, pull the plug.

it was a struggle, but once you have it at a bit i promise you will just slip out no probelm. mine got bent a bit.
