I'm serious too......I can throw mine in the trunk tomorrow(was gonna try and pull a small rightside passenger ding out with them on the old 04. There's still room beside the spare tire to stow them. don-ohio ^)
Hello, once you remove the three screws on the bottom and the screw on the side and the 2 screws under the cover in the handle, just start pulling on the panel to release the 9 clips (of course use a tool to help with releasing tabs) THERE IS NO NEED TO REMOVE PLASTIC BEHIND DOOR LATCH, THERE IS NO SCREW THERE. GEN II ONLY. After clips release, push panel towards engine to get around door latch. Panel will come free. I found clips near the top of panel are most reluctant to release. Be patient and be strong.
So my original problem is the drivers door latch moves, but not enough to lock door. I hope I can somehow lube the whole thing to assist it in moving enough to lock. Any suggestions?
