I just got my new 93 mark today and I don't know where to look first I bought the car knowing the front air suspension was bad(down)when I got the car shipped in,can anyone tell me what to check first please>also the back leaks down also after a day or two>thank you

sounds like the leak got so bad from the previous owner that it burnt the compressor up. most likely you are going to need a new compressor, they new front struts and rear bags, hope you got the car cheap, or just tear all of it out and replace it with a coil spring conversion like i did. i went with the strutmasters 1.5 inch lowered coils. i dont like the looks of a stock height mark VIII.

my rear bags also leak down but fill up when I start the car so my compressor should be good right??or are there 2 one for front one for back??and how much for that replacement kit you are showing me??thanks guys

if the front bags wont raise, then i cant see how your back bags are filling up, because the way the air ride works in these cars, if the front tries to raise and wont, then the cycle stops and wont let the rear fill up. there is only one compressor, if sounds like your front struts have such a huge leak, that the air is getting out faster then the compressor can fill them up. that spring kit is around 400 bucks. to replace your air ride, front struts are like 260 each, that right there is already more then a spring conversion.

thanks guys but who has the best deals on parts?? so many places to chose from

The operation of the air system at key on is to fill the front bags first, then fill the rears next. You will hear the two solenoids up front click, then the rears. If your front only raises intermittently it means that the front air springs need replacing. American Air has these for $169 each. You will find that Eddie Spinks who operates the site is a very valuable member of our community. He gives us a lot of technical support and great products.

my front struts don't go up at all not even a little but the rear bags raise

Try to get the car jacked up several inches in the front. I made mini ramps from some 2X4's and drove my car up on them so that I could get my floor jack under the front coss member so I could raise the car a couple inches. The purpose is to get the car off of the extreme limits of the ride height sensors in front so that they will activate the front solenods to allow air to go into the bags.
Don't raise the car too high, keep the wheels in contact with the mini ramps. You just need about 3" rise. Be sure that you have you trunk switch to on. It may take 3 full key on cycles to get the bags full (keep your door closed).
