P1409 is "EGR vacuum regulator solenoid circuit". I don't have a totally clear recollection of the position of the solenoid - I would still think it to be found on the back of the intake manifold as it is vacuum operated. Check to see that you got it plugged back in after the fix. The fault light, I think is the PCM indicating it has no signal from the solenoid and therefore cannot control it, and thereby the EGR valve.If a sensor is bad however, the computer most of the time recognizes this and sets off a code, illuminating the light saying you've got an issue. Your problem could be the solenoid which tells the EGR to open and close when needed, and there is a way to test this. On the solenoid housing (you'll see wires coming from somewhere on your EGR to a box of some sort,
