3m makes an adhesive spray just for this application.

Yeah, I seen that at O'Reilly's but wanted to make sure it would work with that stuff before ordering it. I suppose the headliner board needs to be sprayed and the back side of the headliner material so that it has a two way bond. I think I can handle it lol. Shouldn't take more than an hour or an hour 1/2 with trimming and cutting off the edges.
 
You can also get the 3m spray glue at wal-mart. The fabric if you have a hancock fabric near you goes for $10 a yard. Just done a headliner in a 97 mountaineer and it's holding up good except where we used cheap non 3m glue.
