How do i get the headlights open if it has black glue..

i recently had my front end into an accident. and the front headlights are new. but how do i get them open.. i put them in the oven and then plastic began to melt. good thing i took them out in time.. but still couldnt open them..


any ideas?!

correct - not the heat way.

The only way that people have done it is by cutting them open, then re-gluing them shut.

look up in the search option, i wrote a walkthru on how I took my headlights apart. Check it out its detailed. Its going to take work and time. But the results are great.
