I once read an article and saw pictures of one on 38" mud tires that was in the mid tens in the quarter. Over 1400 lb/ft of torque and 1100 horsepower. Boo yah!
Yup, ther are 2 powerstrokes running close to that, along with 3 different Cummins in a town that I lived by. They liked to get in a pack on the main drag in town, and just smoke the town out.
I have a 2004 Ram 1500 4X4 with the 4.7 Magnum, and in 4 Low my max speed in 5th gear is something like 20MPH. And that is on the limiter. But I could pull the Empire State building with all of the torque. I think that I see a big Diesel in my future. After all, I graduated from the local Vo-Tech school as a Diesel mechanic in 1978. Might be time to get back into the oil burner scene.
