harder better faster stronger

you're asking for nearly 50% increase over stock hp. It's doable - but unless you are looking for a custom project and wanting to spend tons of money on that car - it make no sense - to end up with a V6 that is the same as the stock v8.
Everyone here with a stock v8 is complaining about the lack of power, and you would have spent $$$ just to get that slow.

The good thing about doing a turbo for 300HP is that it's easily upgraded as he wants. He could replace the rods and pistons, crank up the boost(or upgrade the turbo depending on how small he starts out) and go. But then you have to worry about the transmission.

The OP needs to know that he's only going to get out of it what he puts into it. The more money you put into it the faster it will be. The faster you go the more it will cost(remember the transmission?).
 
The title of the thread looks like a line Viagra would use in their commericals.
