It was a good time until the weather moved in. Here are the pics and the trophy plaque I got. And one free cookie to the first person that knows what the clothes pin is for.
I've had vaporlock. On a holley carb on my mudtruck. Jammin hard standin almost still. No air moving over the engine and it racin like crazy. The fuel line was so hot it was insane. Let it cool off and she fired right up.
Uh what? You my friend and all so I will be nice. You're a dumb ass.
JK, much love bro.
Anyway, Vapor lock dont happen (uber rare) on injectod cars because the fuel is pressureized at a much higer rate and is pushed through the fuel lines rather then pulled through at a MUCH lower pressure. What happens is on hot days and hot engines the line becomes so hot that the gas turns to vapor. When it does that the pump cant pump a gas, has to be a liquid and if the pump cant push it to the carb then you have vapor lock.
I may be off as I dont like carbs so havent learned much about them but I am familiar with vaporlock. I had an 87 Grand Wagonner that on very hot days was a royal bitch to start after it was ran for a while then sat in the sun for a couple hours.
