You can see which cylinder isn't firing correctly by checking plugs. Voila-change that COP!

i understand. i'm lazy at times reguarding the easy things (plugs).... lets put the b.s aside.. you seem like a good guy..

anywho, i'll do some investigating and let yall know.
 
I was going to ask you about that, you don't know how to get around the check air ride message when you spring the front and leave the rear eh?

It would be nice sometimes to just spring the front. Definately wouldn't want to spring the rear.
 
i got the check a/r everytime i started it up w/ the front only conv.. but one day the rear just deflated upon startup. luckily it was going into storage so it didnt matter much.
 
Plug should be wet, stink of gas on the hole thats missing.

If your super lazy or worried you will strip a spark plug hole, I guess you could get one new coil and boot and keep trying to find which one is bad by swapping it one hole at a time.

But honestly pulling one plug at a time and looking for the wet one would take you less time.
 
In my case the misfire didn't happen all the time so the plug wasn't wet.

Personally I just moved my replacement coil until it stopped misfiring. I got it on the 3rd try!!!

Try the one closest to the driver on the driver's side first. That one seems to be more problematic if stuff gets in under the COP cover back there.

thanks for the advice. it's just hard at this point in my life to go out taking risks w/o a job.

Ya I bet, but at 12 MPG you will pay for the new coil on gas saving over time.
Plus the car will be more enjoyable to drive when your knocking on doors trying to find a job.
Good luck.
If its not a coil the next guess would be a vac. leak
 
well just went out and started her up. seems the passenger sides exhuast is lacking alot more then the drivers side.. So that would be a cat correct?

understandable, but its not my dd so i kinda put it off. i fixed the 1 vac leak i could find. (top of manifold) And it didnt help.
 
No.....your bad coil is on the passenger side, one hole not firing...less exhaust.
 
Just drop the exhaust and see if you still have the miss. It's loud lol. I done mine in the garage and it sounded like Nascar in there. I don't think it's a cat. If one side is low on compression, due to a bad coil or fowled plug, it means it's gonna be a tad low on exhaust pressure too.
 
You cannt tell Sh!t from looking at the exhaust tips. Both banks come together in the third cat and mix together then split again.....
