 Got my first car a 94 markVIII and my air bags busted so shuld i buy springs or air bags

personally i like the lowered springs the best but thats cause im younger and dont care about the comfort difference all that much.

springs would be cheaper, easier, and less to worry about in the long run. Air bags would have a better ride...(thats about the only positive I can think of)

I would go with Springs

Air bags are great... until they start causing problems. If you have the money to keep putting into them and slowy replacing all the bags and the compressor then stay with them if you like.

If you want a more firmer ride better handling in the corners and be done with any of the problems or repairs that the air ride system has in store the go to the springs.

I have 3 Mark VIIIs I've done conversion on 2 of them one standard 1 lowered. The ride of the lowered conversion is more sporty and rougher. The ride of the standard is not much different from the air ride but except it is firmer.

Personally I feel love the air ride while it's working, but after 100K miles and when the air ride starts to wear out it's time for the springs.

I wouldn't have bought my Mark VIII if it had springs. The air suspension is one of the unique features of the car that makes it what it is.
