Got bored and modded exhaust

What is this "drone" you all speak of? :D Seriously, I had stock base single exhaust on my '96 with stock resonator and no mufflers and it sounded absolutley fabulous. No drone and actually rather quiet. You could hear it from outside but inside it was just a very low growl. On my '97 LSC I have stock LSC true duals with 3rd cat delete, H-pipe, and cherry bomb mufflers. It's actually louder than the '96 with no mufflers but it's still quiet with no "drone" even at speeds of over 70 on the interstate. Do you guys get the drone with the X-pipe and cut-off mufflers? It may be that I'm interpreting this wrong. I hear a deep, melodius rumble from my exhaust when I'm cruising. Some others might interpret that as drone. I don't know. It's never been obtrusive and doesn't interfere with verbal conversations or listening to the radio. Basically, it doesn't bother me. I rather like it:)

Drone as in I have to turn my head back to talk to the people in the back seat. My origanal setup was the base exhaust no cats and glass packs. And after 10,000 miles the tone gets deeper and it's like a very loud hummm in the cabin

I have the mufflers cut off my LSC and though it sounds good, I do have a bit of drone at 2000 RPM. Get worse when you give it light throttle. Im going back to mufflers here this winter when I splice an X pipe into my other LSC exhaust.

I might change the mufflers though, I really like Kirks set up on his new mark.
