Well I got bored and modded my exhaust. I don't have cats just the shells, so I removed the 3rd shell and put regular pipe in. I had an lsc exhaust laying around so just put that on. I did have glass packs and just couldn't stand the drone on a 5-10 hour trip lol

Nice, I would scrap those mufflers in favor or something smaller, lighter, and better sounding though..

If there's no cross pipe, it'll sound flappy :(

Instead of having a V8s exhaust, you've got 2 4banger systems

All you did is remove the 3rd cat..how does it sound "snappy"..stock LSC exhaust sounds just as tame as a base mark.

It'll sound a hair meaner... the smile will soon fade when he gets on it, and the torque isn't there

All he needs to do is grab 2 more of those angled pipes just like he has, and have a couple of band saw skills, home-made X pipe... GO!

Definitely. When I ran straight manifolds to make it to the exhaust shop, it sounded straight up bad ass when you started it up, but when you got goin, it sounded like crap.

The car ha no cats, and yes it's just temporary with the rear lsc exhaust.

It's just temporary I was just tired of the drone for the past 3 years

What is this "drone" you all speak of? :D Seriously, I had stock base single exhaust on my '96 with stock resonator and no mufflers and it sounded absolutley fabulous. No drone and actually rather quiet. You could hear it from outside but inside it was just a very low growl. On my '97 LSC I have stock LSC true duals with 3rd cat delete, H-pipe, and cherry bomb mufflers. It's actually louder than the '96 with no mufflers but it's still quiet with no "drone" even at speeds of over 70 on the interstate. Do you guys get the drone with the X-pipe and cut-off mufflers? It may be that I'm interpreting this wrong. I hear a deep, melodius rumble from my exhaust when I'm cruising. Some others might interpret that as drone. I don't know. It's never been obtrusive and doesn't interfere with verbal conversations or listening to the radio. Basically, it doesn't bother me. I rather like it:)
