Got backed into again.

So needless to say I'm pissed. My old lady went up the road to the local dinner and she parked away from everyone and sum old guy backed into the car.I have taken the car for 3 estimates and they are all around 3500 to 3800. Because according to the insurance and body shops around here there are no after market parts for this car. So now they want to total my car and give me next to nothing for it after I have dumped a good amount of change into it. I know I can get it fixed way cheaper but its the fact I would have to patch it instead of fixing it right and getting what I deserve from the wreck that I didn't even cause.What do I do.

1. Total the car and take everything off it and find another hopefully.

2. Let them total it and buy it back and sell it to my buddy as a work car. Then put the few bucks I get form insurance and him and go get another ride.

3. Keep the car and get stuck with a salvage title and patch it up, and live with the fact that I just got :q:q:q:qed again.

In this state and in Hawaii I had totaled cars but since it was only cosmetic they never salvaged the title.

I hate BS body shops like that. I went to a couple looking to get my door jambs touched up one said they wanted $2,000 because they would have to do the entire back half of the car, another place said that it wasn't worth their time because it was to old. I wound up going to the dealership and having them do that and a few other things for around $300.

if the insurance company totals it and you buy it back the title does not become salvage. it stays clear. you will get to keep your car, with the clear title. It looks like its only costmetic anyway. Did the headlight break? typically its just the adjusters that break off, and you can swap them from a standard m8 headlight.

The grill is busted in 3 spots I just didnt take pics cuz I'm so pissed right now.

It's looks like you have the same "custom" grill as me...I made another out of my old one, and nobody seems to want it. I'll run to my shop in a bit and check on the light

dunno what I was thinkin bout Lasers fender, for some stupid reason I thought they were the same

I can't tell much about your bumper, could it be sanded and repainted? Or are there grooves in the plastic?
