Got a tune from Torrie :added video:

Finnaly got a custom tune instead of using the "pre-programmed" one that came with my Xcal3 when I bought it 2 years ago.

I LOVE IT! well.. I haven't actually been able to drive the car yet due to the 14" of snow that fell this weekend.

The good news is the car starts, and my 2nd Gen rev'd up to 6800 RPM in P and N (although it still rev's rather slow... atleast it passes the 3k mark)

Nice. When I got mine, I installed it and had to leave out of the country 20 minutes later on vacation so I didn't get to enjoy it much right away, it sucked!

I remember I had a video up on YouTube of the rev limiter at 3k and one guy argued with me through like 15 comments probably that LS'es dont have rev limiters, that mine was just running like sh*t and missing

I really want to drive it but the winter is persisting...


As far as the REV limiter thing... I've hated that since I bought the car. I thought I'd be able to kill it with the user settings on the Xcal 3 but NOPE.. was still there. Torrie killed it though. That alone was worth the $150.

Of course now I want a little more noise. The magnaflows sound okay but I'd like something a little more aggressive. Not MissingLinc SLP aggressive but more than the Magnaflow.

Yeah im pretty happy with what i have.

I know im not fast but im certainly fast enough for a 4000 pound vehicle.

I care more about looks right now anyways. Been eyeing some 18's.

+1 on bassani. They louder than magnaflows but not a lot more, definitely worth the switch.

everything? the Exaust? ~ $300 for the mufflers / tips and maybe $40 for welding.

The SCT xCal and Tune? $375 (Tuner) $150 (3 tune files)

The only one I've loaded was the "Performance" Once spring hits and I can get the car out I'll load up the "aggressive" to see if I notice a difference between the two. If I load "economy" at all it will be for the early spring and late fall driving, when the roads could be slick and I don't need to be getting on it anyway.

It rev's up to the limiter slow still, I'm talking with Torrie now to see if he can fix that issue, it takes probably 5-6 seconds to get from idle to the limiter. The computer for the car actually sets a limit on Torque for P & N... grrr. Hopefully he can help out.

On another note, I love my Samsung Epic 4g.. so easy to upload video's and do anything else.
