Good deal on ebay

That's not a bad deal at all. It looks exactly like mine except for they grey interior, mine's black. I like yours Black on Black is tight. I'd love to visit whatever air strip your photo was taken at, abandoned air strips are fun! :D

LOL. Silver on grey is a sexy combo, but I have always wanted a black/black. Silver and black would be pretty B.A., too. The picture was taken at Lakehurst NAS, NJ. A few hundred feet from the Hindenburg crash site.

Hmm, that seems like a pretty decent deal, as said. Be worth it to grab it, being from Cali, and just do a coil swap on it.

Yeah, frost silver on black is tight.. but I still want a clean black on black with the chrome delete (all black). Mine is bone stock, I've thought of shipping mine off to Roush to see what Jack could do with it... But Roush or Shelby is a hard choice for me, Roush runs my favorite NASCAR team, but I love Shelby too. I don't know who I should talk to in order to beef up my Mark really, maybe someone here could point me in the right direction. Anyways, I'm disabled, so my wrenching days are in the past unfortunately, or I'd do a bit to it myself.

Looks like it could be a simple deal to fix the issue.

If you have the money for roush and shelby, you have the money to paint your car black. :D There are a few companies that do work on these cars, most of which are on the right hand side of this page.:shifty: Temple Performance also has a few choice mods we all strive to have. The, oh so glorious, 6-spd conversion is beyond my range though.

With that low of mileage, I would take a good look at the o-rings on the solenoids before I condemn the bags.

I'm going to do up 4 Mark VIII's for me in 4 color combos, Two Stage Silver on Black {Silver Bullet} Driving*, Triple Black {Black Beauty}, & Two Stage White on Whiskey/Wheat Int {White Lightening}, & I'm gonna do up a Smoke Grey on Grey Int. {GRVIII Ghost}.... I'll probably end up with a few parts cars along the way too.

You see, what is is that I'm 6'7", that coupled with being in a wheelchair means I need full sized car drivers room, with a door that opens wide enough to get the hell out of my way and let me get pulled into the doorway with the chair, and it had to be a 2 door. Lincoln Mark VIII's & Super Coupes are my last hurrah as far as a car goes... No one really makes 2 doors anymore except for pony cars or smaller, and they don't help me much. Without my Mark VIII it'd be HDCP Van for me all the time... ever try to outrun ANYTHING in a Van??? Plus having twins, the kids will already have their future cars, no wanting for the 16th birthday (The kids will be well taught the ins & outs of driving by this time by myself, if not a driving school as well.) And I get to play with cars again... a win, win, winner! :)

& what's this you say... a 6 speed converter??? Auto or Manual, or Both available?

manual 6 speed. tr6060 or t56.
no one makes a stand alone control for a 6 speed auto. yet.

Wow! Someone has big plans for the future. :D You should start a thread with an introduction and some pictures. Then update it as you add what sounds to be a lot of goodies and body work. I wish I had the money to upgrade just 1 of these cars. It's going to be a few years before I get my black one where I want it. I don't know if i said this already, but welcome to LVC!!

Yeah, it'll be done over years, I'm not gonna jump knee deep just yet. I need to get a really decent 2nd 97 LSC soon, so that while I'm working on one, I still have a working driver. My current 97 LSC was purchased with only 56k on the ODO, it's at nearly 76k now, in 3 years I might add... I'm very light on cars. :D Kind of a home body. So for my 2nd LSC I wanna find one under 65k-70k on it... the others I'll piece together from parts cars as I go. The wife almost killed my dream of the Mark VIII fleet with her 2012 Expedition Limited, $62K, hurt the pocket book! But I'll bounce back. :)

I'll do that new thread thing you mentioned, I'll have to figure out how to add photos though, I'm not a big cpu guy, that's the wifes thing. :)

Thanks, appreciate it. I haven't really done a thing to it yet other than upkeep. 1st things 1st I need to get my lazy ass out there on them headlights. I've got the Mother's kit, & a drill, just haven't done it. Anyone tried that headlight restorer? What type of results should I expect?

Headlight restorer works ok, but there is a more drawn-out process for perfection. it includes fine grit sandpaper, rubbing compound, that mothers ball/drill, a bucket of water, and lots of patience.

I see where you're going with that, & yep, patience would be required. :)

That one is a slightly overpriced base model. The tell-tale part is the chrome grill, headlight/tail light trim, and door trim. Plus digits 5-7 are M92, Base is M91. I paid $2500 for my 66k mile car and sold it for $3000 with 72k on it. I can't imagine paying that much for one, unless it was something rare.
