Since the car is lookin good again its time to fix an old annoying problem.
Car has an Autozone reman steering rack and it clunks and I can move the whels a degree or so before the rack moves when the nose is in the air. The clunk has annoyed the hell out of me and now that one upper and one lower ball joint is going out (they pop now) I am just gonna redo everything and hold off on the rear end gear install.
I am going to order SC upper and lower controll arms, poly rack bushings, poly rear strut rod to LCA bushings as well as outer tie rods from SCP. I found a place that has the 93 steering racks for $160 and I always wanted the quicker ratio of the 93 rack. It is a reman but all OEM parts so I figured I will give it a shot.

So heres a couple questions. The ball joint removal tool from Autozone is not wide enough for the Marks lower ball joint. Anyone know what chain store (ie: Pep, Napa. etc etc) has a wider one or where did you guys get yours from?
The rack, how hard is this thing to replace? Do I need the whole day for this job? I can do all four controll arms in under 2 hours. Am I going to need any special tools?

Thanks all.
