Going to have to move on.... :(

Seeing how I may only get 1k for the mark I decided that If I can get a good deal on a stang I may just garage the mark and save her for when I grow old, wise, and most importantly RICH to fix her up right. The deal with the mustang is that you can do soooo much for little money. I LOVE working on cars, but with the mark a 20$ part for a mustang is 100$ for a mark, and a pain in the ass to change.

I was having 2nd thoughts about what i really wanted, i love my car there's no question but there's still that little devil on my shoulder saying get a GT get a GT lol. but then i think about it, how many people locally around me have mark viii's? i've seen maybe 5 total, 3 totaled and 2 running. Then i ask myself how many kids my age have this car, zero. Repairing mark viii's expensive, fixing them is time consuming, but having something not many people have and don't know what these are capable of is priceless :)

After owning a mark I would never buy another ford with anything less than a DOHC 4.6 in it..why waste your time with a 2v GT? Unless its a 2011-present. Those things were seriously under powered and plus like someone else already said..why do you want to own something that everyone else has, mark viiis are a rare breed and unique..that combined with no car payment are reasons enough for me to stick with these cars.

Yeah, a trans I would do, but if the motor developed major problems it would be gone. How some of the guys on here go through motors and still throw them in is beyond me.

You know who you are.. :shifty:

yes i know who i am. Im also thick headed, and in my condition the layout of the car is perfect for entry/exit and taking apart the wheelchair and putting it in the back seat. ive replaced two motors, the suspension, transmission, (not that this counts) headers and full 2.5" exhaust, mass air, k/n, tune, radiator, and those are just the basics. this last was a lie to me on replacing the vlcm i could part it out and get most $$ back, but at this point ive got too much into it. when it comes to me and my cars i always throw tons of $$ at them. this foray into mark viii's however is one i knew nothing about, including the motor,so.....
for some reason i really fell in love with this car when i saw it, drove it, and looked around at it, ive never been involved in a forum before, car clubs yes, trips to moroso dragway, but this, to me is fun. i can be an ass hole sometimes, so can others, but having met a few members and a few discussions back n forth, i've grown to like alot of people here and learned alot in the process. so im putting in ANOTHER motor, buying ANOTHER to rebuild properly, and have plans on special bodywork coming.can it be frustrating, absofockinglutely, but when i had the cams working right, downright fun.i'll see y'all on the threads..............:cool::D
