While I was shopping around for my 1st Mark VIII back in 2008 I ran across this very car at a dealership. It was SUPER CLEAN. It had 109,000 miles on it back then if I'm not mistaking. In 4 years this car has been beat to sh!t. I'm shocked to see the raggedy interior, the mismatched trim & most of all, the chipping paint. Asking price back in 2008 was $4,700 & it had bad front air ride. I wouldn't pay that guy more than $1,700 for it now the way it is.

Note: I know it's the same car because of the Italian flag right below the "VIII" in the rear neon. It's the 1st thing I noticed on the car when I went to see it 4 years ago.

Looks a bit like the Silver '98 LSC I just sold. My drivers seat was worse when I got it. Exterior was better but it took me forever to sell it anyway

the chipping paint looks kinda like those stickers meant to replicate gun shots

what was wrong with it

There was rust all over it. He bought it @ dusk & didn't notice the rust in the engine bay, bottom of the door, etc... Car is long gone though. I ran across the car about 5 months after he sold it to a "street car dealer". It had a for sale sign on it. I call the guy up & ask him about the price. Guy tells me the car is a "Special Cobra Edition with added horsepower" It's prepared for "racing" & it has many performance parts. When I ask him about the rust, he says it's nothing & it can be fixed with $300.

One thing's for sure, that car looked so damn nice! Here it is next to my late '93.
