This time next week the lincoln will be well on its way to Georgia, with me in it of course. We wil be in Valdosta for a week so if anyone is near there let me know. I'm rather excited for the drive, it's about 14 or so hours from here to there.

Anyone else doing major holiday travel?

Hey good luck with that and have a safe drive, some good food and happy holidays !

Me myself and I have a new job and am departing this afternoon in a rental 5 hrs down the road to jump
in a new truck to take out to Calgary AB, Canada, the great white north! However, I will be back home
on the 23rd of December just in time to celebrate Christmas. Presents are already under the tree.

Happy Holidays to everyone ! :xmas:
Safe travels !

My wife and I are leaving Saturday to go to Scranton, PA for a few days to visit her sister and kids. Then on the 26th we are leaving to go to Chincoteague, VA to stay with her parents for a week and then on the 2nd we are going to Leesburg, VA for her best friend's baby shower.

Needless to say, we are doing a lot of travelling during the holidays.

Back to Warsaw, IN today for work, then Angola, IN for work next Saturday through Christmas Eve. Romeo, MI for Christmas, then back to Angola for work a day or so after through the turn of the new year. Then Ft. Lauderdale for a few days with the family.

I picked a helluva time to start working at a liquor store.

Nope, all my neighbors are going away for the holidays so I'm gonna stay home and go Christmas "shopping." :D

Nah, seriously I'm taking a week off from work and we're staying home for the holidays. Been working too hard lately and I just want to stop for a while.

I don't think I can get out of The People's Republik in 14 hours! Lengthwise that is...... We're going up to my mother-in-law's. She's "only" ~85 miles away but it will probably take 3 hours as we are supposed to get a little rain.

CONGRATS on the new job! Hope it works out better for you!

Be careful on I-75 anywhere south of Macon. Between there and Valdosta is ripe for speed traps and it's so tempting because it's the middle of nowhere. 10 over shouldn't get you in trouble anywhere though, and much of the speed limit in GA is 70.

Best $400 I ever spent. The V1 has paid for itself multiple times!

Leaving Saturday heading home to MS from VA. A 15 hour road trip, yay should be fun with two kids who have never been in a car that long.

Awesome :) I live in North Georgia & they are right, watch out between Macon & Valdosta. Only got 2 speeding tickets in my whole life n it was around Valdosta both times loll. But I was doing 20 over -___- Have a safe trip.

Well we are taking the fuzz buster to help keep an eye out. Rather excited though for the drive

I'm back ... Well, that was a waste of time and money, not the type of operation I want to work for, specifics and condition of equipment changed when I got there, plus the load wasn't going to be ready for another 2 days.

Young start up company with limited experience, took him until 2:30Pm to pick me up from the hotel, I was ready to go at 6:30AM. Lots of BS involved, outer edge of steer tires worn down, not interested, jumped in a cab back to the airport and got another rental and drove 5hrs back home.

Total loss just over 300$ and 2 days worth of my time,
next time I'm going to need contracts up front and pictures of the equipment.

I like the "Independent Trucking" idea though. Bigger money, might look into getting a truck and finding a reputable load broker around here.

Lesson learned.

BTW: the Mazda 6 rides rather nice, easy on fuel as well.

Sorry to hear. There is something to be said for being your own boss!

State boys are rolling in all black 2013 Chevy Caprice SSes. Seen them back in June on several occasions.
