Here's an idea for you Geno. I'd buy a set.

Imagine white face gauges, and or the main background (outside of the gauges) painted something like, matte? maybe gloss black? Would make them look individual.

I would have no problem pre paying for a set of those. But yeah I could see not nmore then a dozen or so sets EVER getting sold. Still would like a set though. :D
 
They'd sell. It just takes the right kind of business to supply them. Injection molding is cheaper than toilet paper.

Probably would not sell a lot. A Mark VIII is not exactly a high volume car and it is old to boot. Geno has already had this problem with good products, simply not enough demand. I wish he would make another run of the ice box, otherwise we might have to get the kid to make some.
 
Yeah. I was throwing the idea out.

And he was rude.

Which brings back feelings from a product I purchased from him before that cost me a grand, but only 500 dollars by time I resold the junk.

So I'm just bitter.

I don't know why he even still frequents the board. Unless he's trying to sell something or talking about his own projects or being rude he doesn't seem to contribute, outside of the "that looks killer" 3 word few and far between posts.

It was a response I made that is typical of all cool like items that would be awesome for our cars. Bottom line is they just do not sell. I was making fun of the situation, not the idea or the product.

I have being doing this car for almost 13 years now and Ive seen it all and most of all heard it all. Every single product that WAS COOL that people begged for was a non seller as far as volume.

You put out YOUR money and get a set made if it is so easy and dirt cheap but don't ask me to make something then rip me apart for no reason.

I am on this board ALL the time. I post when I can, remember I have a Family now and two companies to run so YES I do get Busy and by the time I get to the board any new questions have already been answered by other memebers by the time I see them.

What item are you referring to that you purchased from us that you call junk?
 
Check White Gauges on Ebay, they have a online store and will work with you on custom gauges. They have a 800# and out of Salt Lake,UT.
 
Just from visually having seen our speedo and the stang speed I will bet money they are too small...
 
Wheels. 2005. You advertized "20X9 wheels; $1000.00" on your website. So I called you, learned that the 1000 dollar price was in fact for 18" wheels, and that the 20's would be a couple hundred more. Liking the wheel, I asked if it was the same wheel outside of being 18" instead of 20", you said YES, EXACTLY. I ask how much the 18" wheel is, and you say $A GRAND. Thinking to myself, well sheesh, a grand for a set of 18's when that's what the 20's were advertised for. Must be a nice wheel. So, I send you my money order, and I do get my wheels. Everything is great so far. I can understand marketing and overlook that you were technically advertising 20" wheels for $1k. They looked like a quality wheel in the pics, and being the thorough guy that I am I even asked, is the finish nice? Like 1000 dollar nice, and you said YES. Nothing but positive feedback on everything. Cool I'm going to get a nice set of 18x9 wheels that look good on this car since they're coming from LINCOLNMOTORSPORT. Then I get my wheels, ecstatic, I load them in my explorer and take them to the shop to mount my tires and get my fresh painted car with 3 thousand dollars in new parts not including the wheels or paint - out and rolling around. I open 1 -ONE box, and see it's 18X7.5. Not good, I don't want 7.5" wheels, why would I?!! And I think to myself, Geno made a mistake and sent the wrong ones, so I'll call him in the morning, send them back, get my 9" wide 18" wheels, and other than the wait everything will be ok. Not being happy with the burnt ass f'g polish job done on this set, ((grooves around the base of all the spokes where they just burnt the crap out of them during polish and before chrome)) .. I will ask for a set that was maybe not polished on a friday.

Next day I call you, can't get ahold of you. 3 days later I finally catch you on the phone, and say HEY GENO, THESE WHEELS ARE 7.5" WIDE MAN, YOU SAID THEY WERE GOING TO BE 18x9. I can't even get into my next sentence before you're all f'g defensive, cutting me off and saying ""WELL IF THEY'RE NOT WHAT YOU WANT THAT'S TOO BAD, YOU ORDERED THEM, I CAN'T TAKE THEM BACK, THEY WERE DROP SHIPPED""

Complete bullsh!t. I spent a grand on absolute junk that I was mislead on, didn't have 3 boxes even opened, and the business -that I felt I could trust in such a small community- completely didn't support me immediately after the transaction. If you don't remember, you were so rude that I hung up.

I've been overcharged for mediocre service in tight situations here and there, but your transaction tops everything to this day. At one point, I was going to drive to f'g new jersey. You treated me like dog crap, dude.

I spent a grand in 2005 when the dollar was a little better..... on something I wouldn't have paid a f'g dollar for. And you made me swallow that crap.

First of all I NEVER EVER SOLD NOR ADVERTISED 20 inch Cobra R wheels.
I have sold maybe 25 sets of wheels total in 13 years man? Give me an invoice? PayPal info anything?

I would never in my life under any circumstance EVER talk to a customer in such a way about anything you must have me mistaked with some one else friend.

ALL My Cobra R's that I sold came from ONE supplier and were ALWAYS 18x9 I never sold an 18x75 Cobra R wheel in my life.
 
They weren't the cobra R's. They were the 5 spokes with the plastic crap on them.

Don't pull that crap, you're being a worm! I just stated Money Order, so of course that's easy to say!!

Im not being a worm man. I never sold a 20 inch Cobra R I said which is true.
I did sell other 20 inch wheels yes. Some 7.5-8.5-9.0 wide. If it were a mistake I would have handled it peoperly. If I told you 20x9's then I would have gotten you just that. I would have NEVER talked to you like you say I did. Ask anyone who had ever dealt with me. I have returned items for exchange and given refunds in the past without a hitch. Sorry your so mad about this.

Plus if I am so bad and awful & horrible then why even put this post up offering me an idea for a product for me to sell to you ? Makes no sense huh?
If Im the Devil then why would you want to me to manufacture something then sell it to you?
 
Because the risk with being mislead on a 40 dollar set of plastic bezels is something I could swallow, and nobody else would take the time to build them if LINCOLNMOTORSPORT wouldn't.

And either you did not read my post, or you're still trying to butter the crap.
 
I'm done talking about it. I'm just as f'g mad as I was then thinking about it now. I remember the situation well, and I am dead straight in line with my summary of our transaction. I've thought about it for 5 years, why would I if I was just being an idiot!! You f'd me man. You wouldn't take them back, and not even one had even come completely out of it's box before I brought it to your attention.

I think they look KILLER. I remember these wheels yes. I do not remember any of the DRAMA your talking about to be totally honest. If it were such a problem then why didn't you persue it more at that time until you were satidfied, instead of letting it go? Enough is enough this post od now off track.

Exactly 5 YEARS ago. Goodness man, really? Life is short my Friend. And in NO way in HELL would I have ever talked to a customer in such a way. Im done talking about it too. LATER.

BECAUSE FOR 5 YEARS I HAD IT IN MY HEAD I MAY MAKE IT TO NEW JERSEY. WHY WOULD I BRING ATTENTION ON MYSELF!! I'VE BEEN SO PISSED THAT I BOTTLED IT UP.
