Every Gen1 Mark's interior door panel seems to sag just beneath the memory buttons and I'm wondering if anyone has come up with a good way to repair this. Every time I tuck it back into place it falls back down a minute later :(

Mine is about as bad as the one in the pic

i do believe its from ppl with long legs putting there knee right there while they drive i catch myself doing it when i drive ...d@mn long legs.

yes i know it not a way to fix it but i thought id pitch in my ideas today

I fixed this on my old 94. It sagged so bad that it popped out from behind that panel. I removed the switch bezel and used a heat gun to soften up the vinyl. Then I put some 3m trim adhesive glue behind it and used multiple clamps to hold the vinyl in place. Worked like a charm.

I haven't had that problem, however I have had it come apart in the front of the window jamb above the speaker grills. I took it off, cleaned the contact surface and used gorilla glue with a couple clamps over a 1x4 with a shirt underneath so as to not leave any crease where the edge of the board was.

If you do use gorilla glue make sure it's clamped well, that crap expands pretty easily.

4 years later mine are still looking new. Gorilla glue holds well.

I would recommend a 3M adhesive as stated above though. Probably less messy to work with.

BTW JJ, nice SHO. I sold my 95 Green/Black MTX SHO first week of the month. Had that car for 5 years. Did a lot of little mods to it, sway bars brakes, that kind of stuff. Great car.

Thanks Dan! I just picked up this '95 in November but I've had my '91 for almost 4 years. I don't "really" need 2 SHOs but its pretty mint and came with Intrax lowering springs already installed. Buying fast Fords is my sickness :D
