Gen 2 Seat Movement

My drivers seat seem to work fine. When I open the door, it glides back, when I close the door it glides forward. When I sit in the seat and close the door, It move about two inches and stops. The only way I can get it to move back to the correct position is to nudge the seat as I close the door. Has anyone had this problem?

Thats pretty much it! :lol: Unless you are under 170lbs then I wouldnt use the easy entry feature. These are old worn out motors and they just dont work like they used to. Find someplace that can rebuild the motors or get a brand new seat track. Thats the only way they will move larger people.

if you look up the write up billcu did on his seat track you can take the whole thing apart, clean out the motors, lube everything up and reassemble it might work better, but they pretty much said it, too heavy, no worky. the more you use the dumb features in our cars, the faster they stop working, my easy entry is off, my glide is off, my column stays where it is, my reverse mirrors are off, i dont let anything move, that way i dont have to fix any of it!! i just leave everything off. less headaches.

i leave all those easy entry, driver glide etc. off unless im trying to impress someone, with the features my 12 year old car has.
