Gen 2 headlights on Gen 1 LS

After several attempts to try and find the harnesses for these headlights, I was able to catch up with Alexbougie to get some information on how he connected them to his car. It was pretty much the same idea that I had but I thought it wouldn't work for several reasons. After going to Auto zone in the rain to pick up some electrical supplies, I've just figured out how to make a harness that will work. I'm actually taking pictures as I go along and I'm going to do an extensive write up so stay tuned. Should be up sometime next week. Had to order some parts.

Yea man it's going to work. I'm going to use some Ford parts that I'm getting from RockAuto. It will help a lot of people who wants to convert to Gen 2 headlights out.

Update

Ok guys got the gen 2 headlights installed tonight. It got dark on me but I finished it. I would have finished earlier but it started raining a little. I will post pics tomorrow after work. I took a lot of pics of the harness that I made. I will include everything in the write up. It was very simple, did a lot of splicing but it's all plug and play. I have to take the lights back off, for some reason the right turn signal don't blink so I get to see what's going on with that and connect the park light. Other than that, it looks awesome. I'll go ahead and post some a few pics now that I've taken of the process. I tried to take some pics with the lights on but they are so bright that they didn't come out right. I'll take daytime pics tomorrow. I'll elaborate more tomorrow when I do the write up on the pics.

So the angel eyes work but the amber bulb doesn't?

Just the amber bulb on the pasenger side. It comes on, but it don't blink when I hit the turn signal. So I get to go back and see what's going on with that. I double check all the wiring before I crimped the wires and everthing. So I'll see once I get off of work. Man those things are bright, even in the day light. Just looked at them before I walked into work and was like .

Yea it was worth the wait. I'm going to take the them back off today and figure out why that passenger turn signal is not working. Also I need to tidy up my wiring and put some loom on the rest of the harness.

Also, is it possible to use the gen1 turn signal for the gen2? one of my headlights I got off of ebay didn't come with the turn signal

What do you need to know about the switch?

Just like which colors do I splice to which pretty much. And I am curious if I can use my gen1 turn signal wires and socket for the gen2 headlight.

I used the factory harness that's already on the car. But you will have to buy the six lead harness that plugs into the second gen headlight and then splice those leads into the harness. I actually have to go in and change mine back around because I got the low beams on high and vice versa. I had a diagram that I drew when I was doing this. I'll see if I can find it or I'll look at the car and tell you which leads you need to hook up to where.
