Here are the issue with the air ride:

Front down
Compressor does not run
Back at Stock height

I am assuming it is a compressor issue since it doesn't run.

Are gen 1 and gen 2 compressors the same?

All of these issues I'm having are on a 94.

Thanks in advance!

If the front end slammed than the struts are leaking... almost a guarantee... come on Chris you know better!

the compressor never runs though. When my 95 front air struts leaked it compressor would at least try to jack the car up. That is unless the leaky struts burned up the compressor.

Or the relay... It's much cheaper than a compressor you can get them off a car at the junkyard for free. But you should just replace the compressor and the relay also just for safe measure.

The reason I asked was because I have 2 spare gen 2 compressors, and one spare strut, but by the sounds of it I might need to buy another.

If you can get the compressor to run by bench testing it with a 12v source. It is the relay/connector.

if the front is slammed, thats why the compressor doesnt work, the leak muct be so bad that it burnt it out, the compressor itself is identicle for all years, only the brackets are different. change the compressor and listen for the leak.

Don't forget about the relay. If you throw a comp in and it doesnt work look to replace relay.

the relay rarely fails, it can, but if the front is slammed and the compressor doesnt work anymore i'll pay for the compressor if you change it and it doesnt come on. i'll bet the relay is fine. compressor over worked and locked up.

i agree jamie, i was just stating before you replace it try the other. and i agree with the consensus on this car bad bag killed comp

+2 my front strut was steal leaking after I put in a compressor from the junk yard and It killed the compressor in mater of days.
