12" glass packs are slid into 4"X24" slant cut chrome tips. I have stock LSC duals otherwise. I cut the mufflers off about half way between the 90 degree bend that goes into the muffler and the 90 degree that goes by the diff. Then using a new 90 degree going into the tip I was able to get a good angle on the tip. If you just cut the muffler off the tips end up aiming downward as the stock pipes kinda go up into the muffler.

The chrome tips require more attention as they will rust. Also it has some serious drone which I believe is because the glass pack echoes in the tip.
 
That's why I got my tips. I saw 02LSE96LSC91SE84TC's exhaust. His/yours looks better cause it's 4" though. One of the best Mark VIII set ups for sure. As far as looks go.

Here are some pics of mine buddys 94. I cut the bumper for him to fit the new pipes. Didn't take the bumper cover off either. Looks just like a 95 or 96 bumper.

sal329 Yeah if you were in Vegas! mespock, theres nothing wrong with your tips. they look good to me. Well not the tips but not having the cut outs, You know what I'm trying to say. I can't tell if you have mufflers or just tips on the rear, it's kinda dark. Those tips look very good though!

I would just like to be able to pull them up tighter.. Doesn't take too much to scrape them...
 
That's right 1.5" lower and I'm scraping on inclines unless I hit it at an angle..

I've trained my wife well... she's doing very well when she drives my 94.

Her 95 is still on air ride.
 
Just had the ART cat-back dual 2-1/2" exhaust originally on the '93 transplanted to the '96 with new polished SS Magnaflows and mondo polished SS tips.

I dunno. They're not a 'straight' oval. They are a right and left set of 2 tips. They are slash cut "/" both vertically and horizontally.

Kinda one of those last minute things. Tips? sH*t we need tips? LOL
 
They fill the cutouts nicely. Dual wall, rolled edge, about 4" x 6".

Yep there actully listed as 4.75 inch rolled angles ss tips. They make & match the bumper curve nicely. We put a set on my friends Gen 1 3 weeks ago.
