Fuel Pump Replacement 02 Lincoln LS 3.9

The two fuel pumps on the Lincoln Ls, are they the same model? Are they different in price?
We replaced fuel pump part#MIPFS245, and discovered there was another fuel pump.
Is there somethings we can try to replace before replacing the other fuel pump?

2 fuel pumps? there is one in my mom's 2000 v8...

More accurately, there is one electric fuel pump, and one jet pump. The jet pump is powered by the fuel pumped by the electric pump. It is mostly the electric pump that fails, but every great once in a while a jet pump messes up.

Here's a pic of the 'transfer pump' or 'jet pump' - nothing electrical other than the float.

thank you for explaining to me more accurately than most on the forum. my late husband left me this car and we are discovering more and more this care is very high maint.
can you explain how to replace this pump that is on the left? i bought the left pump from autowarehouse.com they sold me the Airtex model? it is suppose to be a good fit for the replacement of the 02 lincoln ls.

Do you know a website I CAN find the chrome silver piece that lays across on the back bumper that to replace it? during the snow someone back into it and never reported it.
