well the lincoln aint starting. it only has about 2 gallons of gas in it. i'm parked on a slope and the rear bags are completley deflated.( ima convert the rear this winter while in storage) It's not my dd wich is nice.. question is were is the fuel pump located in the gas tank? If its towards the front i guess that could explain it.

I have had the same problem where i was parked on a slope and the 1 or 2 gallons of gas was on the drivers side of the car.Well,it wouldnt crank so i went and filled up a 5 gallon gas can and that did the trick.

i'm really hoping thats the case. this car is running me dry and with no job it makes it that much worse.

you will find fuel pump under the the car, beneath the gas tank. Fuel pump will have 4 wires coming from it and a couple hoses (it is on the front of the gas tank).:-)

Under the car...really?? and beneath the gas tank??? I thought you gain access to the pump from the top of the tank..hmmmm very interesting:D

I had this problem too when we got the exhaust done on the '97 LSC. When they finished, they parked it in their side lot and it was on a hill. There was less than 1/8th of a tank left and it wouldn't start. We poured 3 gallons in it and it fired right up. If the fuel pump is bad, just drop the tank. The access panel is on top right under the back seat. If they had been thinking about do-it-yourselfers, they would have put an access panel in the floorboard under the back seat. That would save a lot of headaches.

Trust me you wouldnt want an access panel because of the fumes created regardless of how well it is sealed.JMO
