Do these cars not have front wheel bearings that can be removed and greased like my Suburban? I have looked on line for new bearings in case mine are shot but to no avail.

noise or play in the bearing. any play at all is bad. there should be none.
a grinding or humming or crunching noise when turning.
they don't spin smoothly.
stuff like that.

Raise wheel off ground, grab tire at 6 & 12 'clock and push/pull. Spin wheel- place hand on LCA/UCA- should be no vibration. They are a ZERO tolerance bearing (as opposed to your Burb, where a little wiggle is OK)
And yes Timken, or National are the bearings to go with

Thanks for the info. I will do that. I'm going to pull rotors and all, I should check bearings because that would be the time to do it.

The last 2 sets I changed on our cars were at 100,000 miles. The originals had no play and sounded ok on the car. I new they were done with simply because of the miles. You can easily tell a difference between old 100K mile bearings and new OEm ones when you spin them side by side off the car. It is so obvious.
