Front skinnies?

Anybody know the weight difference between the steel and the alloy spares. An dare they the same size.

LOL on using the spare tires and them being so "Dangerous" LMAO!!

You kidding me? I ran these on my Mark for about 6 years at the track and around town/highway!

There is nothing wrong with them other then not being speed rated.

What do you think the FAST drag cars ran on in the 50's-60's. 70's & into the early 80's?

Regular old passenger car tires, primarily white walls flipped around.

Your only at a higher speed for such a brief moment in time it will never fail. My dad used to run his 427 Cammer 4 speed Maverick into the high 9's back in the early 70's with regular old passenger car bias tires on it !!

Geno's right about the speed rating... no worries

Speed ratings are rated at "sustained speeds" not a brief moment that the car is "at speed".

We used to run the alumium spares from Fox bodies on cars that went 9-10 seconds in the 1/4 at 130-140MPH
Roughly DOUBLE the "speed rating" and never had a failure.

I had them on the front of my SVO and would drive to and from the track with them mounted... 80-100MPH on the way to the track.. NO problem.
