I've heard several people complain about a leaking front end....even after replacing the struts with the Arnott aftermarket strut. After some testing on American Airs' own Mark VIII(Black Betty), I've come up with an easy and best of all.....cheap fix.

In my opinion, the problem lies in the solenoid housing itself, as I have found it to be "egg shaped" on certain units. The fix I've come up with is an special size o-rings that seals off any hint of air leakage.

Also, as I have preached for years that I recommend resealing the solenoids each time the solenoid is removed. With these Heavy Duty green epoxy o-rings, this is no longer necessary. The HD o-rings should endure countless install & removals without the need of replacement.

BTW, if ANY of my customers have purchased these struts from us in the last year and are experiencing this problem, I will gladly supply the needed seal kits to take care of your problem. All you need to do is pay the shipping.

Oh please. Who are you to help the competitor's customers?

I'm kidding, of course. It's great that you took the time to figure out why that other guy's crap... errr... struts were bad. Obviously, he doesn't care about his customers.

This is why I recommend you over Arnott when I talk to people in real life and they don't want to shell out the cash for FORD OEM struts.

Eddie, when do you think you'll have more of the ADRENALINE 2.0 COMPRESSOR Systems in stock?

This has been hapening to the ones I bought from you a couple years ago :(

I had a similar problem when replacing my front suspension parts on the '97 LSC last week. I have new Arnott air spring/shocks (they're not "struts") on both my Marks right now. And when I replaced the d/s shock on the '97, the solenoid housing caused me headaches because the solenoid wouldn't seal. I endied up using a hammer and a set of pliars to "reshape" the houding so it would seal. Last week, when I replaced the UCA's, LCA's, tie rod ends, and sway bar links, the solenoid actually blew out of the d/s shock! I had to take the damn thing off and "modify" the housing again to get it to seal. It was a PITA, but it finally worked. I have had the new design Arnott shocks on my '96 for almost two years with no issues, and now I have two on the '97 and that was the only problem I've had. It shouldn't have been an issue, but it was fixable. As long as they work, I'm happy.
