Front end dips down during braking

Sorry guys but one more question. I know the sway bar keeps the car firm around corners but does it do anything to keep the rear end of the car firm on the ground during braking? I just check the 97 Mark VIII's sway bar rod that attaches to the suspension and the rod doesn't move. However on the 93 its moving alot. BTW the brushing on it(i think those are the brushings) are very weared out. And since both the cars have the same kind of shocks(not same company) shouldn't they be equally firm in the rear?

Here you go.

I was suprised to see they are still on the black 94. They were on the red and green 94's originally, but I took them off. The roads in Michigan are terrible, and I don't like the way the shocks stiffen up when I brake. I've never noticed any nose diving though. The red and green have non OEM shocks now.

Can anyone explain this? I'm pretty sure this is why I'm having this problem. Now is this because the shock absorbers are too stiff? The wrong ones? Or is something else? Here are the pictures of the 97 to give a comparison of what it should look like.

Shocks have more travel on the '93 probably. They weren't oem ones, though niether car looks to have stockers...
