I have now a 2006 its my second ls I had a 2001 I was sure that this 2006 would have a true aux input I was worng. I was thinking about installing a flip screen but because it covers the fuel and status buttons when its up. I was thinking about buying a used stock navigation from a Lincoln ls that had one . The question I have is will it work? If so what and where could I get the wiring kit that would be needed amd what years can I use that will fit my 2006

There's way more to this project then just a nav screen and a wiring harness. It's way cheaper to just get an aftermarket one that does not flip up and block the buttons.

Someone else will chime in I'm sure. But you would need the nav screen, DVD drive, antenna, the voice control button for the steering wheel, and a different rear view mirror with a microphone for the voice control. In addition to the wires to go back and forth to all those components. You can get an aftermarket indash one for much cheaper n

Yea.... Search and you will see Joe's post where he lists just about all you would need. IMHO, you're looking at well over $1000 in parts alone. Like Money said, you can do much better with an aftermarket double-DIN unit.

get a double din unit instead, the oem one is good but only if it came with it. I have a 06 and im getting a aftermarket nav for around 350.

member for 5 years, and still has to be spoon fed why this is a terrible ideal.

Wish I had known this when I had my first one just found a double din fram for under ten bucks so what size screen can it hold I'm ready to order me one fast
Anything in a true double din. 7" should be fine.

This is my old 2001 no t going yo do that with the 2006
