just got my mark shipped to my house.. upon opening the hood.. i found something ive never seen before on any car..

its a 4 inch copper? square attached to the top of the fender under the hood.. one wire coming from it and going to a box ...

on the box it says something like " kar gard electronic anti rust module"

i cant read it too well because of its location..

the module has a red blinking light on it and more wires going from it to the fuse box and ground

what the deuce is it ????

ill take a pic tomorrow in the light

Oh.. its a polarization module that creates an inverted takion wave using frequency N harmonics. By generating this wave, rust is all but eliminated by the polarization of the body metal.

Ok, I made that up.

Actually ya, it sounds like a rust inhibitor. But they way these normally work is under water. Its hard to explain how they work, but I think they are made of zinc? Using some method like electrolysis, it inhibits rust by charging and object, such as a lock/dam gate, and the plate takes the abuse. Over time the plates corrode and have to be replaced.

I like the idea of those devices! I wonder if they are actually effective or if its just marketing hype...

I think it is an early form of transporter device, watch what buttons you push. :D

heres some pics of the device...

they just showed that kit on two guys garage and truck u on the speed channel ,stops rust or slows it down. gave salt trucks less rust over a period of time guess it works

Lol. Looks like an IED. Reckon i might have to get one of these 'wonder boxes' for xmas...

I would take that thing off! The wiring is not clean looking at all. Probally no more effective then those fake fuel saving magnets or the tornado fuel saving device. All just a bunch of garbage!

That box does not look like a sacrificial anode to me..

i'd remove it but knowing my luck the car would completely rust out in the next year

if its been on there a while it must be working .. only the chrome trim has 1 miniscule spot of corrosion. . but according to Geno.. a lot of 96's get that for some reason
