Will they fit on my 98? I know I've seen pics of them on a Mark before, but I don't remember if they just fit right on or not. They say "Powered by Ford"

I found some cheap.

ive seen them on before too and as far as i know they should, basically any dohc cop covers should work

here's a bottom view

ok, cool, that's what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure.

Thanks a lot guys, and thanks for that picture, too.

I absoultely HATE the way the COPS are secured to the motor...and when I say "secured" I am only using that in it's least possible definition.

KK... a light bulb just went off above my head
THUMBSCREWS!!!!!

I'm referring to the lack of positive hold downs for the coils in a COP set up.

the 2v 4.6 and 5.4 both have a small nut the HOLDS the coil pack in place.

the 4V solution is haphazard at best and I dont like the "hide it under a cover and HOPE the cover holds in it place".

THAT is THE "F" my tangent is about.
WTF is your tangent about (LOL)

LOL, I was talking about the"thumbscrews" thing. I'm just messing around though man.

I find that the COP covers do a very good job at holding the coils down. The ONLY time Ihave ever had one come off was when I had a spark plug blow out of the threads, and took the coils and coil cover out with it.

Which is another issue entirely, that I don't wanna talk about :(

Hey is the cop hold down been an issue for many people. I cann't say that i've ever had a problem with this. For tuning purposes i've run the car with the covers off NO problem then either. I thought the cover was more or less to cover the unattractive wire loom.

It might not be a problem.... but you can never have too good of a connection when it comes to electricity....
