your LS did you do it yourself? If so please rate difficulty from 1 to 10. What kit did you go with? TIA

About a 5, not hard, more time consuming, make sure you have help when doing the rears. Its hard to get the top bolts through the trunk area without being able to see the holes from the bottom, and on top of it, you cant hold the shock in place and reach around to put the nut on. The fronts are pretty simple, the whole arm just completely drops down. I have the Sprint springs, handles Awesome!!

Where can I find those?

I lowered about 2" all corners using the Intax Sport Lowering Springs. It vastly improved my handling.

There is no camber aligment on the LS - so depending on the amount lowered - your alignment shop will be able to get the front wheels close but the rears will be out.

I left the camber in since I auto-cross alot.

I'm looking to lower mine but only about 1". What route should i go?

rear alignment?

So is the rear alignment always srewed after the drop? Was considering the pro-kit until this. I travel alot so I dont want to wear the inside of my tires out. also are there any aftermarket sway bars out there? :L

I'm just doing this for looks so i don't want to do anything that is going to mess up the alignment of my rear tires. Will lowering it an inch cause problems with everything?

relax - a 0.5 degree is nothing big - plus it helps on those corners...... I am running 1.5 degrees camber.

there are no aftermarket swaybars - but the LS has four options to choose from - v6, v6 sport, v8, v8 sport - with the v6 being larger than the v8 due to the weight of the engine. Not sure why you would want to change the sway (anti--sway) bars - it does not improve handling - more it changes the amount of over or under steer......

Quik...anyone you know of offering arms or any other type of kit to fix the camber problem? I would think this is something that they would want to address.

Ghost how does your car ride compared to a factory suspension. I have riden in a few cars and trucks that have been lowered, but they were all pretty significant. I figure with such a small drop it might not affect it like it did in these other cars that I have riden in. Thanks

Eibach does sell an alignment kit for the front - both the two LS owners I know that tried ti install it had to remove it because it didn't fit right. The real issue is more with the rears anyway.

Nolan,

Back in my college days I built a 1969 VW Beetle into a show car. I had it lowered and it road like it was lowered. However, lowering the LS will not yield the same results. I was worried too that dropping the LS and inch would make ride too rough. However, it rides great! It might have gotten a little stiffer but not enough to make you think you're riding in a log wagon. The ride is firmed up but that's a good thing. It makes the car more responsive without sacraficing ride comfort. Only dropping it an inch will not affect ride comfort that much.
