Well, after a month and a half later and almost $1700. I have the lincoln back on the road!

It is nice to get out of the truck again into something nice and quite.

I replaced the upper control arms on the front, the lower arms for the front due to bad bushings. All the sway bar bushings. The end links, and the outer tie rods. I also had to get the front end aligned and 2 new tires.

I just hope that I dont have any more major issues with the car.

If it goes well with no problems, it is time for some exterior mods

sounds good. i was in my truck for a while a couple months ago. deffinalty a different ride

do you still have your old lower control arms. i need the driver side. my bushings are fine but the arm is bent. i dont know if i can just push my bushings into the arms though.

1700 sounds like an alot..glad its back on the road though.

I did do 100% myself.
The control arms are very pricy. Esp when you repalce the upper and the lowers on both sides. I complated on just selling the car instead of replacing the parts. I enjoy the car and went ahead and bought everything. I know it is going to last me proably as long as I want it to last now.

Not to mention it is hard to sell a car that is going to need extensive work.

I already threw away everything that I had except my passenger side upper control arm. It was still in good condition but the boot needed to be reaplaced, I replaced all the upper and the lowers so that I could eliminate the problem of fixing it again the near future.

that sucks lol i need one and the cheapest i can find it is 350-400 and thats just not extra money i have right now

The control arms I found at almost 400 each and the uppers were close to 150 each.

I still have a control arm that is in good condition for the passenger side upper. I have the lower also, I think that it can still be used but the rubber is torn alittle from removing it from the car. Both are for the front passenger side.
I have all the end links, but they are kinda cheap to replace Mine were still good, just worn out boots.

When the car goes over a bump & makes a hallow type of sound, is that the sway bar bushings needing to be changed?
