When all said and done ill have a freshly powdercoated cobra diff & LPW girdle, FRPP 4.10's, eaton true trac, arp stainless hardware, 4" Dynotech DS and DLF is putting it all together with new bearings and races. Might invest in a good fuel pump while im at it, too.

The cobra housing and LPW girdle are @ SDL powdercoating in Toms river getting "silver sparkle". Should look pretty fly when finished..i wanted to stay with a high gloss aluminum look and clearcoat wouldnt hide the imperfections and all the grays were dull..that should be done anytime now. Once DLF is finished with the DELRIN IRS bushings we'll be doing the diff swap and by then i should have some sticky tires and ill see what this thing can do.

While you're getting the new half-shaft nuts from Ford, invest in 4 new driveshaft pinion flange bolts too.

Wonder if they balance it with the sticker on it.

I can't wait to get mine on the car Friday. Hopefully I don't have any of Laser's bad luck hamper the project (welded exhaust etc).

Just ordered my halfshaft nuts, ford wants 9 a piece for the Pinion flange bolts! OUCH, she said she'll give them to me for 7. they are in stock so when my other parts come in ill check them out, i think mine are in pretty nice shape so i might not need em.

you should get a scp pinion brace while your spending that kind of cash lol

I dont know how important that piece is yet to my setup. I want a lower engine cradle brace and rear lower control arm brace first. Plus, I also need to get a trans cooler and fuel pump and will have spent around $2000 on the diff build and driveshaft by the time its done..so i'll see what my funds allow. :)

I'm not sure that you'll see a benefit from the pinion brace until you have way more RWHP. And there's got to be a less expensive way.

+ 1

I think you'd see more of a benefit (in handling situations) with the Lower control arm brace over the Pinion brace for anything else until you had lots of HP

If i had loads of money i'd get all of them! :D

For now the LECB and rear lower brace should suffice.

ahahaha thanks tommy...i would love a good stall. Just doing what i can at the moment...hell i'm only 24 and havent worked in almost 4 months!! :D

Your going with 410, loser. Are you still running your stock 2" exhuast pipes

Uh, wow. I must be a mega loser with 3.73's

And good call on not getting the diff cover. My next to upgrades after the exhaust will be the two SCP braces you are getting Lux. The engine cradle and the rear brace that goes under the pumpkin. :)

Huh? He did get the diff cover, it's pictured in the first post.

Sorry, the missing word was "brace". "Diff cover brace" is what I ment. No, the cover is a brilliant idea and I wish I had one. I thought locking down the bearings was only important past 400rwhp but SVO said a stock Mark engine can twist them or move them around some. Hindsight and all that jazz. :(

It looks nice but what's the point of dumping that much $$ into the rear end on a pretty much stock Mark VIII.
