my mark is idleing at about 2000 rpm and won't come down any suggestions..it really hard to drive in the snow like this..also when i start it on cold days i have to keeps the revs up till it warms up...usually about -10 celcius...i know shouldn't be running it in the winter but need it for 2 more weeks

Replace the Idle Air Control Valve. If your car is a gen2 it takes about 5 minutes.
 
I'm voting for IAC needs to be replaced. Don't clean it, replace it. If you have the extra $$, change out the TPS too. I had this same problem with a 93 and a 94 and on the 94, the TPS needed to be replaced also and all idle problems were gone.

Vacuum leak can cause the high idle so check that first but get ready for the real fun at the back of the engine. I think that's where you're headed.
