First off I'd just like to thank everyone in this great community for all of the help and education you've provided me with to make my Lincoln LS experience nothing but the absolute best.

Regretfully, I've put my LS up for sale. Even worse, I've had my phone blowing up over it. So it's safe to say she's gonna be gone here very soon. Here is how she currently sits.

My wife did a great job curbing the piss out of one of my rims so I took a good amount of time stone grinding and sanding the damage out, then put a custom white wall on the rims that, in my opinion, turned out great.

Got my fourth child on the way so, needless to say, I needed something more practical. Here's the new one.

I picked it up 3 hours away in Detroit. Got a very good deal on it. I knew they were hiding something because it has low miles and is extremely clean... Too clean for the price I payed. So...

New timing chain, tensioners, sprocket, guides, arms, harmonic balancer, idler pulleys, drive belt tensioner, oil pan gasket, valve cover gaskets, timing cover gasket, power steering pump, front speed sensors, fresh Mobil 1 5w20 w/ Motorcraft filter... We're smooth now. Only $600 in parts and I got one hell of a nice truck. Kind of a nightmare of a job, but it's done.

I will continue to lurk and say hello, and I will yet again buy another LS. But with the knowledge I have now, it will only be an '06.

Thanks again guys for helping me enjoy and love my LS as opposed to hating it. God bless you all.

wow, learn something new everyday... I didn't know that the Triton was an option in the 2nd gen Navi, I though they were all Intechs... at least every one that I have worked on has been.

Yeah, I believe from '03 and up the triton was used. However, I have seen an '04 with what appears to have a different engine than mine. It had been totalled and has been sitting in a driveway near my sister in laws house. I pulled the passenger side running board, center console, mirror, door panels, and rear climate control console all for only $100 cash. The power running board alone is a $400+ piece, as well as the mirror is $350+ so it was a good grab.

Went to grab some engine parts when I found it was different.

up until the 3rd gen, the twin cam was always an option. I just though they stopped offering the 16 valve after 02... clearly I was wrong.
