Falling on its face

So it was the middle of another hot Arizona summer day and I was getting on the freeway. I went to put my foot into the Mark to pass some people and when I did theMark it fell on its face... I had to pull out of the throttle about half way before I got any power. So just to make sure it was not a one time thing I put my foot into it again and again and got the same results. Any ideas on what this is? I am suspecting fuel pump or TPS.

My guess would be the fuel pump but it never hurts to make sure you have a new TPS put in. I'd do the IAC while I was back there.

That depends upon your definition of "pain".

You will have to drop the tank, obviously. To do that, you will have to drop the exhaust. It's not that big a deal. It's just time consuming. Just make sure the tank is as close to empty as possible. It's pretty heavy if its got any gas in it. Mine was almost full when I had to do my fuel pump a few years ago. Talk about a PITA. But good luck anyway.

Well at least dropping the exhaust is a lot easier then dropping the rear suspension like I had to do on my IROC.
