Parked the car on the un-shoveled driveway last night. Went out to the balcony a little while later and was like "who the hell parked in the driveway behind me?" Stepped out a little further on the balcony and realized it was my car.

Warning - crappy cell phone pic ahead

Yes, the thing slid down the driveway and was about a foot to a foot and a half away from the front of the Explorer parked on the street. Obviously I took the picture after I shoveled the one half of it.

Whoops!

What's that, like a half inch of snow? :p

Are your Falkens's summer tires? The Hankook's on my fondmetals were crap on any type of snow. Although it sliding while parked is exceptionally bad. I can only imagine what it's like to drive with those on

I guess they are. I think they're the Ziex 512s? I forget. I can look when I go to head home from work. And I'm told we got like 4 inches. Still, I've driven in worse with other cars and not had any problems.

And yeah, driving on them is "fun". I got the car completely sideways a few weeks ago when we got even less snow while making a turn at like 5-7mph. Almost nailed a parked car...with the traction control on.

Car went up it without a problem, too. The neighbor said that of all things weird that has happen over there, this one takes the cake

I had Falken Ziex 512s on a previous car, they were decent in summer but sucked bad in snow. Went around a corner in a parking lot once going about 5mph and the car just slid instead of turning, right into a curb.

912's work great. Not sure how well they perform in the snow....

Did you have your parking brake on? :)

Parking brake wouldn't help a car from sliding on top of the snow. I never use parking brakes, even when I put the T5 in my 87 LSC. Parked that bitch in gear.

Are you sure it wasn't some neighborhood hoodlums? :D

Also, in that pic it looks like you have a TV for your front license plate.

Same :q:q:q:q went on over here....but my 16's have Bridgestone all season tires...but it slid down the street when I parked on the side....

Huh. you'd think the Autosocks would've prevented that.

Maybe the autosock will work at 90 degree angle :P haha

Til then I'm gonna get some mods done while the weather is good....

Thats scary! Glad that exploder wasn't directly behind yours!

I found it more funny than scary, actually. lol

Good thing the driveway wasn't longer or that car woulda been in the middle of the street!

or how about someone parking next to him in the driveway and place bets on who reaches the bottum first :P
