does anybody know where to get painted eyelids I can only find black or carbon fiber ones

in fact - if you want black - you still have to paint them black. It's simply the colour of the vinyl - you can't leave it unpainted or it will turn 'green' from the sun.

Yep. They start to look like rough fairly quickly. After a few years they look like wrinkled raisins on your headlights. Or maybe worn leather...
