I've seen those, and wood shift knobs for Gen 2 Mark VIII's. Were these for special editions? Any chance they cam in the samw shade of wood that my Black interior has?

Hello.

I make Custom wooden Shift Knobs and Steering Wheels.
I can do for you Steering Wheels like Collector edition.
I need from your Steering Wheel.
I use core part from original Shift Knobs and Steering Wheel.
I don't change Leather on the Steering Wheel.

If you want to see examples of my work, made from real exotic wood, you can look at my album:

There were no "special editions" in 1997. You either got (base) or the (LSC) and the dealer most likely ordered cars with wood grain controls, not the person. The only "special editions" of Marks were really the 98 Collectors Edition and the 1996 Diamond Anniversary and both had two tones seats but the wood grain shifters came in a lot of Marks. Window and lock controls normally came in the interior color but wood grain isn't extremely rare. Now, finding them in excellent condition is pretty rare but that listing is for the drivers side only. If you bought that, you would also want a mint condition passengers side, not including the door lock controls that you would also want and as for the shifter knob, most of those look pretty good.

The seller has a separate ad for the other side. I'd just buy those
and be happy, but the wood doesn't match the centerpiece from my LSC;
mine is darker.

All that is is one piece of what was an entire wood trim kit. Like this one.

If it is, I grossly underestimated the quality of the stick-on kits. The picture shows a fairly thick "looking' laquer on the wood, it doesn't look at al like a stick-on kit. I looked at those wood-grain kits, and I realy do not want any adhesive-backed stuff in my cars interior.
